3.37 mile fitness run 1027/11 by wm8c at Garmin Connect – Details.

Another great day temperature wise for a run. It amazes me how fast I can get out of shape and gain weight just by cutting back my mileage. I have spent the past month archery deer hunting and only getting my 6 mile Saturday run in.  Now that I’ve put venison in the freezer and am going back to running every other day, I realized just how bad it has become.

I’m guessing it will take me a month to get the 15 lbs. I gained back off and get myself back up to 15 – 20 miles a week again.  Calories in/calories out like I’ve always said. Unfortunately I haven’t been following my own advice.  Back to the discipline and hard work.  I’m fighting a bad case of Achilles tendonitus and that’s not helping either so I need to resurrect my old motto of “just run through it” for a while I guess.

5.73 mile fitness run – windy day! by wm8c at Garmin Connect – Details.

Crazy windy day but a pretty good run none the less.  Having a big fight with my Achilles tendon but it seems to go numb after a mile or so and is tolerable to run on so I keep going.  I need to just keep stretching and hopefully it will get better over time.  I’m struggling with the RICE routine but we’ll see how it goes.
