6.3 mile Fitness Run 12/3/11- Almost 25K Training Time Again

6.3 mile Fitness Run 12/3/11 by wm8c at Garmin Connect – Details.

What nice morning for a run today! I always love my Saturday runs as they are just a great time to relax from the stress of the week and catch up on some much needed prayer time with God too!  Feeling ok but still fighting a severe tendonitis problem in my achilles and that makes for a painful run for the first mile until it either goes numb or I just manage to ignore it.

I have an appointment with the dentist again on Monday to try and get to the bottom of whatever is causes bone to poke through my gum. I’m hoping this is nothing ominous but we’ll see what they say.  I’ve managed to get a few small pieces out which has lowered the pain threshold when I eat but there is still a small piece poking through that I can seem to dislodge.

Had my full physical two weeks ago and got a clean bill of health so far.  I stopped taking my Crestor again due to the muscle pain I was experiencing and I just don’t like my cholesterol numbers when I do that but that I don’t know what else to do right now. I’m still on the Niaspan which helps though.  My blood pressure is still great too.

I have a colonoscopy scheduled for mid week which I don’t mind so much albeit the the preprep is simply miserable as you get to spend a few hours visiting the porcelain throne as the crappy tasting stuff they give you is consumed. One way to get a colon cleansing in every 10 years I suppose.

We just spend a week in Branson Mo. and had a great time.  Even went ziplining which was a ball.  Went to the top of a small mountain and spent the next 2 hours ziplining over 7 separate runs to get back to the bottom. Great time!  Here’s to hoping everyone is being successful with their weight loss journeys and as always, if you have questions or comments, just leave em’ here!  The fat you is just “one pound ago”!

I just returned from Branson MO after a week of vacation and a family visit. Had a great time, saw a few shows, even got a round of golf in at a golf course called Thousand Hills.  Had an unseasonably warm day for November and it was fun to play some golf.  Very challenging course too.

Got out for a couple of runs in the mountains while I was there and I quickly remembered how much I really hate hills!  Running in the Ozarks would get easier with time I’m sure but between the altitude and steep hills, I was feeling the pain and suffering of doing so.

Glad to be back home and only 3 weeks of work before I have another 3 weeks of vacation coming. We are still trying to figure out where to go but all I know is that it will be somewhere warm!
