What a morning this has  been.  6 – 7 mile runs are fun but once I start stretching them out to 9 and more, it really starts to feel like work to me.  Even though this will be my 3rd 25K, I don’t think I’ve ever developed a true “comfortable feeling” about running the long distances.  Even after three years the doubt about finishing them still lingers.  I don’t understand it, but it’s there.  Even just reminding myself that I’ve already done it, doesn’t seem to help some days.

At any rate, I have another 11 miles of training out of the way and ready to relax for the remainder of the weekend for sure.  Still fighting to lose weight.  I just seem to be stuck at the moment. I may have to switch back to a hardcore low carb regimen again to get my metabolism to cooperate fully.  I’m eating well but obviously even at 1700 calories a day, my body is saying “nope”!  I find myself once again questioning my decision to stay on the Crestor again as I’m back in the muscle pain but I still have more concern for my arteries than I do for my muscles.

It appears that we are going to continue with the strange winter pattern we’ve had this year as all the snow we received last weekend has again disappeared and there is no snow to speak of in the immediate forecast.  Temps for February are still very moderate for us as today’s high wlll again be 35 with a low of 22. Could be a whole lot worse for mid February in this state for sure.

Bought Asics 2170 shoes two weeks ago.  Those darn things aren’t getting any cheaper for sure but good running shoes are imperative to good running health and accident prevention for sure!  With that, it’s time for a shower and some breakfast!  Have a wonderful weekend and may your exercise and weight loss plans be realized!
