How Did I Get So Over Weight?

How did I get so over weight?  This is a question that many of us ask at one time or another.  I was thin and the next thing I know I was in the “obese” category and never even blinked an eye.  People would comment that you are getting a “belly”, but what they should have been saying is that I was “adding someone else’s body to mine” as I was quickly getting big enough to be two people!

Becoming fat isn’t something that we plan to do, it most often just happens and before we know it we are very over weight and putting ourselves into mortal danger.  So then what?  “A diet!”  Of course, that’s what we all think.  But typically, it took us months and years to become fat and of course, now we want to become thin again in weeks or months.  This can be accomplished but the problem with that is that we might lose the weight, but we didn’t address the biggest problem and that was what ever brought us here in the first places, which in some way had to do with “poor eating habits”.

Now that comment might upset some.  “I was depressed and that made me over eat”, or some other tragic event in our lives that “made us do it”.  While I’ll be the first to admit that it can and does happen, it’s still a matter of “eating habits”.  In the coming days and weeks, we will talk in much more detail on these habits, how they form, and what we can do about it.

We all can be thin or at least thinner and it’s just “one pound ago”.  See you soon!
